May 25, 2017, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – SAI Consulting Engineers has been selected by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh to provide Construction Management and Inspection services for the Pittsburgh Technology Center Site Preparation Contract No. 14.

The White House is under increasing pressure to show progress on President Trump's $1 trillion infrastructure package.

May 17, 2017 Representatives from SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. (Designer), PennDOT District 11-0 (Owner), and Joseph B. Fay (Contractor) accept the 2016 Association for Bridge Construction and Design (ABCD) Award for Outstanding Rehabilitated Bridge for the SR 2085-A05 Birmingham Bridge.

Rich Kauffman, P.E., Project Manager, and Larry Maher, Sr. Project Engineer, were key in the successful completion of the Final Design phase of the project. Rich, Larry and the entire SAI team maintained excellent communication with the District and were responsive to the District's requests. The original let date for the project was 12/15/11, and the District asked SAI to deliver the PS&E early for a 8/18/11 letting to secure a contractor in case emergency repairs were needed on the structure prior to the spring construction season.  SAI committed to the new let date and progressed through Final Design in about 9 months. SAI was given NTP on 8/31/10 and delivered the PS&E to Contract Management 5/23/11. The superstructure replacement project also included the design of a two-span temporary bridge to maintain traffic during construction.
