SAI is part of TriGold Joint Venture Program/Construction Management Team that is responsible for the construction management and inspection of the North Shore Connector which is comprised of twin-tube bored tunnels under the Allegheny River from Gateway Center to the North Side terminus including over two-miles of surface restoration associated with the cut and cover for local roads and stadium parking lots including landscaping, an aerial structure and eleveated station platform, and three light rail stations located at Gateway Center, Allegheny Avenue, and the North Side.

Physical Features: 
  • Two 2,240' long 21'10" diameter twin-tube bored tunnels under the Allegheny River.
  • Two-miles of surface restoration associated with the cut and cover for local roads and stadium parking lots.
  • 2,000' 14-span boxed steel beam aerial structure and elevated station platform.
  • Three light rail stations.
  • New electrical substation.
