SAI is responsible for the total reconstruction design review activities on three separate sections, totaling 43 miles of mainline reconstruction projects that include the replacement and rehabilitation of over 100 structures. In addition to design review, SAI is responsible for environmental permitting, Right-of-Way acquisition, public involvement, utility clearance, and coordination with PennDOT and local municipalities.

  • Performed detailed study for implementation of cable barrier median.
  • Analyzed design options for perpetual pavement .
  • Edited and expanded Pennsylvania Turnpike Mainline Design Consistency Guidelines.
  • Incorporated use of SAI Portal with another design managers reconstruction projects.
