Highway Design

SAI was responsible for the preliminary superstructure and substructure design for the design build multi-span overpass bridge/interchange over I-80 and the preliminary and final design of a new roadway on a new alignment. This project will tie in S.R. 6830 to the new I-80 ramps and then connect the I-80 ramps to S.R. 6830 beyond the DuBois Regional Airport connector road now renamed the Francis H. "Bud" Scherer Highway.

Physical Features: 
  • Five miles of new two-lane rural arterial roadway.
  • 306'-long two-span continuous composite prestressed concrete I-beam bridge over I-80.
