Senior Water Resources Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Highway Department.
Responsibilities:
- Perform roadway drainage design, Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control design, Stormwater Management analysis and design, and Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis and modeling
- Prepare Environmental and Waterway Permitting (Chapter 102/105)/NPDES
- Prepare reports, plans, and specifications in accordance with client requirements
- Complete designated assignments and report progress to project engineers
- Mentor, review, and check work of junior staff
- Perform field views and attend on-site and off-site meetings
- Participate in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projections
- Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
- Attend professional organization meetings to build relationships and assist with business development
Qualifications:
- 4 to 8 years of experience in water resource engineering and desire to specialize in water resource design.
- S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fundamental of Engineering (FE)/Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required; PE License preferred
- MicroStation, InRoads or OpenRoads experience required
- Drainage design tools like Storm & Sanitary, HY-8, and HEC-RAS experience required
- Ability to perform project site visits
- PennDOT/PA Turnpike experience preferred
