Entry-Level Highway Engineer
SAI is looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Highway Department.
Responsibilities
- Design roadway, drainage, and traffic improvements for highway-related projects
- Perform engineering calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and CADD design/drafting
- Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients to ensure all aspects of the design are consistent
- Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding
- Become well-versed with PennDOT Design Manuals and Standards
- Perform field views and participate in meetings

Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of experience in the design of transportation projects
- BS Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- EIT Certification preferred
- CADD experience a plus; MicroStation preferred
- Ability to perform project site visits
