Given the statistics, you probably know someone who has had a breast cancer diagnosis. According to the CDC, breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the United States with about 1 in 8 women developing invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
Breast cancer touches so many of our lives. As SAI acknowledges Breast Cancer Awareness month, we encourage women to get their yearly mammogram screenings (early detection saves lives!). SAI encourages all of us to learn the facts and to support breast cancer research.
