Wednesday, October 14, 2020, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. was selected by PennDOT District 9-0 for the PA 36 Mill Run Bridge and PA 36 from Plank Road to SR 4005 (Mill Run Road) Resurfacing Project. The work will include preliminary engineering, environmental studies, final design, ROW acquisition, and services during construction for the replacement of the bridge (BMS# 07-0036-0400-0000) carrying PA 0036 over Mill Run near the intersection of 31st Street in the City of Altoona, Blair County. The design resurfacing project is located on PA 0036 from the intersection with SR 1009 Frankstown Road to the intersection with SR 4005 Mill Run Road. The intersection of PA 0036 and 31st Street will also be evaluated for turning movements, traffic flow, as well as geometry improvements.
Bill Ferko, PE, will be the project manager for the agreement.
