SAI congratulates Bill Ferko and Brian Long on their recent promotions to Vice President.
In addition to his Senior Project Manager duties, Brian’s new role includes the guidance and operations of Engineering. As Vice President, Brian is looking forward to “working more closely with industry leaders in shaping the future of our profession while challenging staff to be innovative problem solvers to lead SAI to the forefront of project delivery.”
Brian brings 28 years of experience to his new role and is ready to tackle the challenges it will bring. “If we learned anything from this past year, it is that one needs to have the ability to adapt to change and this goes with both our personal and professional lives.” It is this lesson learned that Brian brings to his new endeavors.
Brian is active in several professional organizations including ASHE Franklin and ASHE Southwest Penn. A resident of Elizabeth Township, Brian and Carol, his wife of 20 years, enjoy their son Jack, a second grader. Brian loves to golf and fish with his son, and both he and Carol are really looking forward to a family vacation this year (once COVID is under control).
Like Brian, Bill will continue to fulfill his Senior Project Manager responsibilities while overseeing project management and project development in his Vice President role. Bill looks forward to “expand our relationships with clients so that we are working as one team towards a common goal.” Bill’s goals include strengthening SAI’s presence in our current markets while we continue to grow into new regions.
During his 23 years as an engineer, Bill has been active in professional organizations where he served as President for ABCD and is currently the Vice President for ASHE Mid-Allegheny. Married to Sally for 20 years, Bill and his wife enjoy the outdoors and annual vacations with their two children Alex and Elizabeth, friends, and family. Bill has coached his two children’s soccer and baseball teams and enjoys watching them grow into mature adolescents.
As Vice Presidents, Bill and Brian will guide SAI toward a sustainable future as they meet the challenges of the new year.
