February 4, 2021, Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania – Today, SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc., as part of the WSP USA, Inc. led team, was awarded PennDOT Engineering District 6-0 Agreement E05063 for comprehensive bridge rehabilitation design and construction support services on twenty (20) bridges carrying Interstate 95 between Island Avenue and the Philadelphia Navy Yard in Philadelphia, PA. This is roughly a 5 mile stretch which includes the Girard Point Bridge (Interstate 95 over the Schuylkill River) and the approach structures to the bridge. The rehabilitation work will increase the remaining service life of the structures with a goal of providing an overall NBIS bridge condition rating of “good”. SAI will provide structural design support services to WSP on this agreement.
