As we celebrate Engineers Week and this year’s theme, “Creating the Future,” we look at one of SAI’s newest engineers, Tyler Bentz, EIT, CBSI.
A graduate of Penn State, Tyler joined SAI’s Philadelphia office in June 2022.
While reflecting what got him into the engineering field, Tyler stated, “I had always shown a lot of interest in building things from my childhood, from Legos to the wood and metal shops. I realized I was pretty good at math as well.” Tyler also observed, “I would not say I’m inspired by one engineer specifically; I love unique architecture and hearing from the designers what was going through their minds. I also like to look at nature as the greatest engineer, solving most problems in the simplest ways.”
When asked what this year’s theme means to him, Tyler said, “being a part of a design team and having something I worked on eventually become a reality.”
