Responsibilities:
- Lead the design team developing roadway improvements for highway-related projects
- Coordinate design elements over multiple disciplines
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee project team scheduling and progress
- Review and seal plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding as Engineer of Record
- Complete designated assignments and report progress to project managers
- Mentor, review, and check work of junior staff
- Perform field views and attend on-site and off-site meetings
- Participate in proposal development, project scoping, and project staffing projections
- Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
- Attend professional organization meetings to build relationships and assist with business development
- Perform complex design functions
- Monitor the performance of projects, including quality, schedule, and budget
Qualifications:
- 4 to 12 years of direct experience in the design of PennDOT and/or PTC transportation projects
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university required
- PE license or ability to obtain PE license within 1 year required
- Microstation and OpenRoads Designer or InRoads experience required
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
