SAI is responsible for the Preliminary Engineering, Right-of-Way Plan development, and Final Design for the widening and reconstruction of Campbells Run Road (County Road 6072), an urban minor arterial highway in Collier and Robinson Townships, Allegheny County. Intersecting roads and drives are being upgraded to be compatible with the proposed mainline improvements and to address the design year traffic capacity requirements. The project goal is to effectively and safely meet current and future transportation needs.
Physical Features:
- Approximately 1.6 miles of two-lane urban minor arterial roadway with a design year ADT of 15,000.
- Proposed three-lane template consisting of one EB/WB lane with shared bike lanes in each direction and a center two-way left-turn lane.
- A new precast concrete box culvert at Boyce Road carrying Campbells Run, and an extension of an existing 86′ long precast reinforced elliptical pipe culvert to 99′ overall length on Glass Road.
- 9 anchorless soldier pile and lagging retaining walls up to 18′ in height.

What are the shared bike lane – is this a sharrow? or are there bike lanes. Asking about the cross section, and if the bike lane mentioned is just a “bike gutter”. as someone who bikes to work here, would love to have a proper section of cartway to myself! Have had more than one car pass me recklessly and maliciously close on campbells run road.
