In remembrance of our former colleague and friend, Tom Amodeo, SAI holds an annual Blood Drive. Tom was a project manager who worked at SAI for 20 years. Tom suddenly became very ill, and he received numerous blood transfusions. Consequently, SAI held our first blood drive as a replenishment drive. Unfortunately, Tom lost his fight for life shortly thereafter on Good Friday in 2010.
Tom’s illness made all of us acutely aware of the urgent need our hospitals and Vitalant (formerly Central Blood Bank) have for blood donations. Therefore, every year we sponsor a blood drive to honor Tom’s memory. ❤️
