Pittsburgh Office

Marketing Coordinator – Requires a B.S. degree in Marketing, Communications, or related degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience creating proposals. Experience working within the architecture-engineering-construction industry a plus. Responsibilities will include organizing and preparing proposals to PennDOT’s ECMS system and various government agencies; editing technical portions; writing and editing non-technical portions of proposals; assisting with marketing materials, project photography, website, and social media. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe Writer, Outlook, and Outlook Calendar. Desktop publishing is a plus. Experience in working in a deadline-driven environment with strong proficiency in writing, editing, proofreading, and layout skills. Exhibits high energy, enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude.

Contractor Services Manager – Requires a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience including supervisory experience. Responsibilities will include marketing and expanding the company’s Design/Build and Contractor Services Departments, managing/lead D/B projects, and contractor assignments. Works with contractors to investigate opportunities in design/build, alternate designs, and construction engineering services. Supervision/training of highway engineers and drafters; monitoring/developing budgets and schedules; and assistance with SOIs. A Professional Engineer’s license is required.

All candidates must have outstanding written and verbal communications skills.

Bridge Engineer - Responsible for performing a variety of structural engineering design and analysis of bridge, retaining wall, and culvert elements with potential for advancement to the position of Project Engineer.


  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
  • E.I.T. or P.E. License
  • 8-15 Years of Experience in Bridge Design and Plan Presentation
  • Knowledgeable in use of AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications

Bridge Inspector - Requires a minimum of 2 years of field experience and PennDOT Bridge Safety Inspection Certification or equivalent. All candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office. It is preferred that candidates have knowledge of PennDOT iFORMS, National Bridge Elements, and BMS2 coding. Experience on PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission projects is a plus.

Transportation Construction Inspectors and Supervisors - Local highways and bridges. NICET certification and NECEPT Asphalt and Concrete certification preferred, and PennDOT and/or Turnpike experience is a plus.  Knowledge of PennDOT’s ECMS and PPCC system is a plus.

Technical Assistant (Entry Level Construction Inspection) - No experience required; however, applicant must, at a minimum, have their high school diploma or GED, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume.  Some experience in the transportation industry is a plus.

Highway Draftsperson -  This position requires an Associate’s Degree, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience with MicroStation and PennDOT plan preparation, and interest in highway design. All candidates must possess competent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Harrisburg Office

Structure Engineer/Bridge Inspector - Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and PennDOT bridge inspection certification (CBSI) with experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike bridge design, inspection and load rating.  Responsibilities will include inspection of bridges throughout the state; preparation of bridge inspection reports; bridge analysis and load rating; and preparation of computations, plans, and details.  Bridge Inspection Certification, or ability to obtain licensure/certification within one year of hire, is required. Experience with Microstation and PennDOT bridge design software is a plus. Transportation/Highway Engineer - Candidates must have a BS degree in civil engineering with 2 to 5 years design experience in transportation and related fields.  Broad background experience in transportation, traffic, land development, stormwater, E&S and utilities is desired.  PE preferred.  Experience with the preparation/ review of and PennDOT/PTC PS&E’s a plus.
