CADD Administrator – is a leading transportation design and construction management firm based in Pittsburgh with offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and Florida.  We are currently seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our growing staff and work on local and statewide transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong technical ability to develop, test, and implement CADD macros/programs/ platforms
  • Maintain company specific CADD tools and implement new tools
  • Assist in resolving questions from team members
  • Provide input for company CADD usage planning
  • Ability to review CADD drawings for consistency, and recommend changes in CADD design work flow or process to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ability to plan and implement training corporate wide
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree (additional training preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of CADD experience.
  • Working knowledge of CADD software, including Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, MDL, basic programming, and ability to develop and maintain MicroStation work spaces is preferred.

Proposal Administrator – Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an office environment.  Experience working within the architecture-engineering-construction industry a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prepare proposals for various government agencies
  • Editing technical and non-technical portions of proposals
  • Reviews proposals for compliance issues
  • Format and layout proposals
  • Monitor and track RFPs and other solicitations from government agencies
  • Research, track, and summarize pursuits
  • Coordinate with external partners
  • Assist with marketing materials, project photography, website, and social media as needed
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills; Word, Excel, Adobe Writer, Outlook, and Outlook Calendar; desktop publishing is a plus.
  • Experience with PennDOT ECMS system is a plus.
  • Experience in working in a deadline-driven environment with strong proficiency in writing, editing, proofreading, and layout skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibits high energy, dependability, enthusiasm, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, a positive attitude, and possesses a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners.

 

Highway Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Highway Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Design roadway improvements for highway related projects
  • Complete designated task assignments and technical reports that summarize recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients to ensure all aspects of the design are congruent
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding

Qualifications:

  • 0-4 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projects
  • B.S. Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • EIT Certification preferred
  • CADD experience a plus; MicroStation V8i or CONNECT Edition preferred
  • Roadway modelling experience a plus; Inroads or OpenRoads designer preferred
  • Ability to perform project site visits

Transportation Construction Manager and Inspectors for PennDOT District 9-0 – We are looking for a team members in our Construction Group with the desire to grow within our department.

Qualifications:

  • NICET certification and NECEPT Asphalt and Concrete certification preferred
  • PennDOT and/or Turnpike experience a plus
  • Nuclear gauge certification and ability to do soils testing needed.
  • Knowledge of PennDOT’s ECMS and PPCC system is a plus.

Structure Project Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to lead projects within our Structure Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead bridge design projects from concept to design and through construction
  • Coordinate design elements over multiple disciplines
  • Strong technical ability to provide guidance and oversight of the design process
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding

Qualifications:

  • 8-15 years of direct experience in the design and preparation of plans for transportation improvement projects
  • S. Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
  • PE License in PA required
  • Experience with PennDOT and PTC projects development required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bridge Inspection Project Engineer/Bridge Inspector – Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and PennDOT bridge inspection certification (CBSI) with experience in PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike bridge design, inspection, and load rating projects.

Responsibilities will include leading inspection projects throughout the state; preparation of bridge inspection reports; and bridge analysis and load rating.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering
  • PE License
  • 7+ Years of Experience in Bridge Inspection
  • PennDOT Bridge Safety Inspection Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of PennDOT iFORMS, National Bridge Elements, and BMS2 coding

Contractor Services Manager – Requires a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience including supervisory experience. Responsibilities will include marketing and expanding the company’s Design/Build and Contractor Services Departments, managing/lead D/B projects, and contractor assignments. Works with contractors to investigate opportunities in design/build, alternate designs, and construction engineering services. Supervision/training of highway engineers and drafters; monitoring/developing budgets and schedules; and assistance with SOIs. A Professional Engineer’s license is required.

Transportation Construction Inspectors and Supervisors – Local highways and bridges. NICET certification and NECEPT Asphalt and Concrete certification preferred, and PennDOT and/or Turnpike experience is a plus.  Knowledge of PennDOT’s ECMS and PPCC system is a plus.

Technical Assistant (Entry Level Construction Inspection) – No experience required; however, applicant must, at a minimum, have their high school diploma or GED, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume.  Some experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
