Water Resources Lead Engineer – SAI is seeking a team member in our Transportation Design Group with drainage, E&SPC, Stormwater Management, and H&H design experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Project site and roadway drainage analysis and design
  • Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control (E&SPC) analysis, design, plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Stormwater Management planning, analysis, design, plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Best Management Practice (BMP) implementation and design
  • Hydrologic and Hydraulic analysis, modeling (HEC-RAS, HY-8, etc.), and reports
  • Environmental and Waterway Permitting (Ch. 102/105/NPDES/KEeS/GPs/JPA), including coordination with clients and permitting agencies.
  • Coordinate roadway and structure design with respect to drainage, E&SPC, SWM, and H&H analyses.
  • Project planning and scheduling
  • Liaison between client and regulating/reviewing agencies
  • Technical guidance/mentorship to engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:

    • B.S. in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of experience in water resource work on PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike projects
    • A Professional Engineer’s license in Pennsylvania
    • Experience with MicroStation and water resource-related software
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong work ethic
    • Ability to work in a team environment

Transportation Construction Manager and Inspectors for PennDOT District 9-0 – We are looking for a team members in our Construction Group with the desire to grow within our department.

Qualifications:

  • NICET certification and NECEPT Asphalt and Concrete certification preferred
  • PennDOT and/or Turnpike experience a plus
  • Nuclear gauge certification and ability to do soils testing needed.
  • Knowledge of PennDOT’s ECMS and PPCC system is a plus.

Structure Project Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to lead projects within our Structure Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead bridge design projects from concept to design and through construction
  • Coordinate design elements over multiple disciplines
  • Strong technical ability to provide guidance and oversight of the design process
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding

Qualifications:

  • 8-15 years of direct experience in the design and preparation of plans for transportation improvement projects
  • S. Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
  • PE License in PA required
  • Experience with PennDOT and PTC projects development required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bridge Inspection Project Engineer/Bridge Inspector – Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and PennDOT bridge inspection certification (CBSI) with experience in PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike bridge design, inspection, and load rating projects.

Responsibilities will include leading inspection projects throughout the state; preparation of bridge inspection reports; and bridge analysis and load rating.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering
  • PE License
  • 7+ Years of Experience in Bridge Inspection
  • PennDOT Bridge Safety Inspection Certification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of PennDOT iFORMS, National Bridge Elements, and BMS2 coding

Contractor Services Manager – Requires a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience including supervisory experience. Responsibilities will include marketing and expanding the company’s Design/Build and Contractor Services Departments, managing/lead D/B projects, and contractor assignments. Works with contractors to investigate opportunities in design/build, alternate designs, and construction engineering services. Supervision/training of highway engineers and drafters; monitoring/developing budgets and schedules; and assistance with SOIs. A Professional Engineer’s license is required.

Transportation Construction Inspectors and Supervisors – Local highways and bridges. NICET certification and NECEPT Asphalt and Concrete certification preferred, and PennDOT and/or Turnpike experience is a plus.  Knowledge of PennDOT’s ECMS and PPCC system is a plus.

Technical Assistant (Entry Level Construction Inspection) – No experience required; however, applicant must, at a minimum, have their high school diploma or GED, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and do basic math computation for length, area, and volume.  Some experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
