Entry-Level Highway Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Highway Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Design roadway improvements for highway related projects
  • Perform traffic analysis and modelling on transportation improvement projects
  • Complete designated task assignments and technical reports that summarize recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients to ensure all aspects of the design are congruent
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projects
  • S. Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • EIT Certification preferred
  • CADD experience a plus; MicroStation preferred
  • Ability to perform project site visits

Mid-Level Highway Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to lead within our Highway Department.

Responsibilities:

  • All facets of highway design
  • Final review and seal of PennDOT PS&E packages
  • Strong technical ability to provide guidance and oversight of the design process
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients

Qualifications:

  • 5-15 years of direct experience in the production of PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike highway plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • S. Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
  • PE License in PA required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Structure Engineer – We are looking for a team member in our Transportation Design Group with the desire to grow within our Structure Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structure design tasks on transportation improvement projects
  • Complete designated task assignments and technical reports that summarize recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and our clients
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for contract bidding

Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years of direct experience in the design of transportation projects
  • S. Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited University is required
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • EIT Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of steel and concrete bridge design
  • CADD experience a plus; MicroStation preferred
  • Ability to perform project site visits

Bridge Engineer/Bridge Inspector –

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering and PennDOT bridge inspection certification (CBSI)
  • Experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike bridge design, inspection and load rating
  • Inspection of bridges throughout the state
  • Preparation of bridge inspection reports
  • Bridge analysis and load rating
  • Preparation of computations, plans, and details
  • Bridge Inspection Certification, or ability to obtain licensure/certification within one year
  • Experience with Microstation and PennDOT bridge design software is a plus
  • A Professional Engineer’s license or progress toward sitting for the PE exam is expected
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
